The Airbox Foresight 2.0 features an outstanding 800 x 480 pixel 7 inch screen with a user-friendly menu system designed to minimise workload in the cockpit.

Foresight 2.0 is the ideal aviation GPS for planning and navigating VFR flights, using charts pilots will instantly recognise whilst enhancing situational awareness before and during a flight. An enhanced user-interface helps to make more complex route planning second nature. Simply type in an ICAO identifier or airfield name and your destination is set, press and click the map to add airspace avoiding waypoints. On the Airbox Foresight the flight planning process could not be simpler because of the powerful PC flight planning software, Fastplan allowing far more complex route planning to take place from the comfort of your own home. With Fastplan can factor in the latest weather conditions and NOTAMs and make weight and balance calculations which are then conveniently compiled into a handy, printable flight pack.

Foresight 2.0 features a complete 3D terrain database to give a heads-up on terrain ahead up to 20NM away from your position and also has airspace awareness to warn pilots of any potential airspace infringements up to five minutes ahead of the aircraft's current position. All warnings are relative to the aircraft's flight level and take into consideration whether the aircraft is climbing, descending or drifting towards airspace. The airspace data is up-dated every 28 days in accordance with the AIRAC cycle and provided as a free download updated by Airbox Aerospace for the life of the Foresight. Another good feature is the runway centre lines. On approach and within 10NM of your final destination, extended runway centre-lines are produced easing the pilot into a precision approach. Geo-referenced Approach plates for airfields (where available) can be quickly accessed showing detailed runway layouts, dimensions and useful information for your destination. Foresight 2.0 logs all your flights so you have a useful record of previous activities. When synced with Fastplan, the flight data is transferred to your PC and can be viewed on the Fastplan map screen or in Google Earth.

The Foresight 2.0 is supplied with aviation charts for of the country (I.E - CAA ICAO 1:500 000 Charts for the United Kingdom) and ABX Vector charts which cover the whole of Europe are installed as standard on each unit with many other global chart options available. Pilots are able to instantly cross reference their position on the GPS with the paper chart beside them.
