The Airbox Clarity 2.0 GPS features an outstanding 800 x 480 pixel five inch screen with qwerty keyboard for data entry. The Clarity 2.0 aviation GPS makes planning and navigating VFR flights easy, using charts pilots will instantly recognise.

The Airbox enhanced user-interface makes complex route planning second nature; type in an ICAO identifier or airfield name and your destination is set, press and click the map to add airspace avoiding waypoints. The planning process on the Clarity 2.0 comes with the powerful PC desktop flight-planner, Fastplan which allows for far more complex route planning to take place from the comfort of your own home. With Fastplan, you can use up-to-date weather and NOTAMs, make weight and balance calculations which are then conveniently compiled into a handy, printable flight pack.

A complete 3D terrain database is available to give a heads-up on terrain ahead up to 20NM away from your current position. The Clarity 2.0 also includes airspace warning systems which will warn pilots of any potential airspace infringements up to five minutes ahead of the aircraft's current position. All warnings are relative to the aircraft's flight level and take into consideration whether the aircraft is climbing, descending or drifting towards airspace. The data that produces the airspace updates is updated every 28 days in accordance with the AIRAC cycle and provided free by Airbox Aerospace for the life of the product.

On approach and within 10NM of your final destination, extended runway centre-lines are produced easing the pilot into a precision approach. Geo-referenced Approach plates for airfields (where available) can be quickly accessed showing detailed runway layouts, dimensions and useful information for your destination. Clarity 2.0 logs all your flights so you have a useful record of previous activities. When synced with Fastplan, the flight data is transferred to your PC and can be viewed on the Fastplan map screen or in Google Earth.

Each unit comes with suction mount, 12/24v power supply cable, plug socket for charging in the home, USB cable and SD card reader (for data transfers between the Clarity 2.0 and a PC or laptop), and Fastplan PC flight-planning software.

The Clarity 2.0 is supplied with aviation charts for of the country (I.E - CAA ICAO 1:500 000 Charts for the United Kingdom) and  ABX Vector charts which cover the whole of Europe are installed as standard on each unit with many other global chart options available. Pilots are able to instantly cross reference their position on the GPS with the paper chart beside them.

Please Nore: All Airbox GPS units sold before the release of the new CAA Edition 38 1:500 000 Southern England chart will be entitled to an upgrade when edition 38 is released and also the complimentary Olympic Airspace restrictions chart free of charge.
